PowWeb will donate seven thousand dollars to the American Red Cross immediately. Additionally, the company has offered its web hosting services to any organization that requires them for the hurricane relief.
As a result of the devastation visited upon the Gulf Coast, and its impact on PowWeb customers, the company felt that it was important to do something to directly help those affected. The Red Cross immediately welcomed the monetary donation.
In addition to the direct donation, PowWeb has opened its servers up to any organization needing them to run a web site to help Katrina victims. This includes local chapters of the Red Cross, church organizations, volunteer recruitment initiatives, food drives, or any other cause that will help in this tragedy.
Due to the high cost of networking infrastructure, as well as the direct damage caused by the hurricane, PowWeb knows that not all good causes can afford the type of service needed in this time of crisis. Any organization needing help should contact relief@powweb.com for details.
